1.1. Project Steering
Steering group is in tune with your Sympa onboarding project
The Steering Group provides strategic oversight and guidance throughout the project’s lifecycle. They ratify the project plan, approve any potential modifications, and oversee the commencement and closing of the project. If agreed upon in the project plan, the project team may assume some responsibilities of the Steering Group.
The agenda for Steering Group check-ins can vary based on the project phase and the topics requiring support. Check-ins can take the form of online or onsite meetings, calls, or written collaboration, depending on the specific needs. A standard agenda for a Steering Group check-in includes:
- Project measuring and criteria
- Change management
- Project schedule
- Risk assessment
Change Management
During the course of your project, if significant modifications become necessary, the Steering Group will address them. Sympa’s project manager will formally submit any change requests to the Steering Group. These changes may include:
- Alterations to the overall project schedule
- Variations in the project’s scope and content
- Changes in the project organisation
- Adjustments in projected work estimates
Risk Assessment
Ensuring the project’s success, even in the face of potential challenges, is crucial. Project progress and success depend on several factors. We have created an initial risk map based on commonly identified risks. This map outlines general risk factors for system projects. The purpose of risk assessment is to identify the most critical risks in advance and plan actions to prevent these risks from impacting the project’s success.
